I am convinced that most people don't house swap due to the fact that they are fearful to do so or should I say have trust issues with it all. Do you think that is the reason?
I can only say that with my experiences it has actually been the opposite, as all the people who I have had house swapping experience with are so grateful to be able to use your property that they respect it probably better than their own!
I would love some feed back on this issue.

Not sure what the answer is Gayle. I don't house swap so I can't relate. I guess the uncertainty of what might lay in store could factor in for some people. And if that is the case, then the best way to counteract "uncertainty" is to research and prepare as best as you can. But you can't know everything in advance. How boring. There has to be some things left to discover along the way. Personally, I think a lot of people lack adventure and don't like taking risks. Unlike you dear.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think that people like things in a "package" where they know exactly where when how etc. I do have a lot questions to the house swapping thing that do involve safety issues.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of it too is people are very private with what is "their's".
Thank you for commenting....my only one! Just thinking you would love what I am cooking ......roasted pumpkin salad ...it has seeds like sesame, pumpkin and sunflower seeds in and to top it off the pumpkin is home sewn! Just like at your place.

ReplyDeleteI am sure trust would be an issue for sure. But I guess these days majority of the expensive precious things can be taken away from the house ie: laptops, ipads, other electrical devices. I like how you communicate with people via email or skype to get to know them and build a relationship. Can't wait to see you Wednesday!
