I guess I learnt about house swapping at a time when I found I wanted so much to go on a holiday and didn't think I would ever be able to afford it, in fact there was a time when I couldn't even afford to get the passports being a family of 7 of us and just the very thought of applying made me shiver at the cost.
I looked at timeshare but realized early in the peace that you had to pay for the maintentance of the property which really was about the amount I would spend on a holiday! I can't remember how I found the web site but I am sure it would have been by searching google as I hadn't met anyone who had swapped at this stage only people talking about it.
I would have studied places I wanted to visit for at least two years or more before I actually joined or did anything about any of it. Great fun dreaming, I can tell you, but I guess if you dream hard enought in the end you feel like you have already done it, so the actual doing seems easy then.
