FEAR FACTOR WITH HOUSE SWAPPING

I am convinced that most people don't house swap due to the fact that they are fearful to do so or should I say have trust issues with it all. Do you think that is the reason?

I can only say that with my experiences it has actually been the opposite, as all the people who I have had house swapping experience with are so grateful to be able to use your property that they respect it probably better than their own!

I would love some feed back on this issue.

BALI !!

You can imagine my excitement yesterday when I opened my emails and found an offer to swap a beautiful home in Bali which read like this!!!

It comes with staff who will look after your every need. We have a full time house maid, massage therapist, gardener/poolman and full security. The view from the house and poolside is breathtaking. Photos cannot do it justice. The home is beautifully appointed with all modern western facilites and exudes true Bali style. Whether you choose to relax by the infinity pool or lay quietly in the garden gazebo no visitor to our villa could be dissappointed.

I was very sad to find out that at the time they are wanting the exchange I will be on my trip to Lord Howe Island but, luckily, with some quick thinking on my part, I made contact with the owners and mentioned that I couldn't do the swap at this time but would be very happy to do it at another time. An immediately reply was to say we will most certainly keep in touch. So, not all lost!!

This is just a small example of what can happen when you become a house swapper ...very exciting I must say.

This morning

I went online this morning to find a lovely offer to swap a house and car on the Island Resort of Langkawi just off the coast of Thailand!! These offers happen quite regularly and I must say it is just such a wonderful feeling to open my inbox and find them even if I can't go at the time.

Last week it was a beautiful house overlooking Palm Beach New South Wales Australia with 180-degree views.

The week before a swap in Durban South Africa so you can see it certainly does become very exciting at times.
